Ce site est né de la rencontre du créateur d'
Uprising-Web et du groupe
Dzokukay.
Le nom Agakpé signifie "la Roche" en Ewé (une des langues du Togo) a été choisi pour représenter l'engagement fort des artistes.
L'idée première est de réunir un maximum d'artistes africains engagés, qu'ils soient hip-hop, reggae ou encore traditionnels, dans le but de se faire entendre et connaitre par le biais de l'Internet.
Nous recherchons aussi des beatmakers et Dj souhaitant collaborer avec des artistes Africains.
Le but final serait de pouvoir sortir des mixtapes autoproduites par le biais du site. La forme de diffusion sera ensuite définie par l'ensemble des participants (gratuit, payantes, en streaming...)
